Joe Garbett is a fun, eccentric and exciting internationally toured and performed dance artist creating shows for all and putting the community at the heart of his practise. 

Based in Somerset and London you will find Joe choreographing and performing in outdoor and unconventional places advocating the importance of positive, playful and accessible art in public spaces. Joe enjoys directing work that advocates the importance of unity and engages people in the exhilaration that can come together to achieve a common goal. His work has toured internationally and has been supported by Arts Council England, The Place, National Theatre, Rural Touring Inititative, Glastonbury Festival, Studio Wayne McGregor Greenwich & Docklands Festival and many more.

Joe grew up as a gymnast before achieving a First class degree at The University of Chichester and a Distinction in his Postgraduate at JV2 with Jasmin Vardimon Company. Under the direction of renowned choreographers such as Gary Clarke, Casson & Friends and Eldarin Yeong, Joe is an international performer touring to venues such as  Tate Modern, Glastonbury Festival, Sadler's Wells, World Stage Design Festival Taipei, village fairs, museums, pubs, clubs and everything in between.

Joe has been a guest and associate lecturer at Universities across the country leading modules and commissions to create touring choreography for students.
